A bus driver will face trial in March over a deadly crash near Avoca last year.
Lionel Calf appeared in the County Court in Melbourne this week, where he was listed for a sentence indication hearing, however yesterday it was decided that the matter would be listed for trial early next year.
The 70 year old from Sebastopol was charged after the crash killed two elderly women on the Sunraysia Highway on October 14 last year when he driving a bus of women who were returning home from a bowls competition in Mildura.
In a court appearance earlier this year, Calf pleaded not guilty to the total of eight charges laid over the incident.
The trial is due to start on March 10 next year.
