A visibly-pregnant Wendouree mum is furious at a hit-run driver who sped off after she was struck outside a shopping centre.
Melissa Marinus was walking with her 2-year old son in the Gillies Street Stockland carpark around 10am Thursday when a 1990s gold-brown Camry sedan struck her at hip-level, knocking her over.
She is 25-weeks pregnant and at this stage the unborn baby and her toddler are unhurt.
She is suffering bruising and scratches.
Melissa says she has contacted police but was unable to get the car’s registration.
However she says the car had green P plates, the driver was a woman and there was a child restraint in the back.
She believes if there is any damage, it would be to the front headlight area.
Stockland security staff are checking for any CCTV footage of the car entering or leaving the carpark
