The Ballarat Town Hall has been recognised at the Victorian Community History Awards.
'If These Walls Could Talk', an audio tour of the historic building was launched late last year, with the City of Ballarat and Way Back When taking out the Multimedia History Award earlier this week.
The audio tour guides visitors through the history of the building that's stood on Sturt Street for over 150 years, educating people on the city's first female mayor Jessie Scott and how the Alfred Bells were installed.
It wasn't the only local winner at the awards however, with La Nosta Storia: The Story of Italians by Jan McGuinness winning the Cultural Diversity Award.
While the major award, the Victorian Premier's History Award was won by historian Phil Roberts for his book Avenue of Memories, about the Avenue of Honour and Arch of Victory.
