Locals are being encouraged to refresh their knowledge of life-saving CPR today, as the world marks Restart A Heart day.
Events are being held right across Australia, including here in Ballarat, to provide basic information on what to do when someone suffers a cardiac arrest.
Spokesman David Waters says people are invited to stop by regardless of their CPR experience.
"It's a perfect opportunity to do a quick refresh," he said.
"It only takes two minutes to get yourself back into that rhythm of doing CPR."
In Ballarat, locals are encouraged to head to the foyer of Ballarat Health Services on Mair Street between 10:30am and 3:30pm.
