A new online marketplace showcasing the best of western Victoria's produce has been launched.
Eat Drink West is an initiative of Plate Up Ballarat, and is the brainchild of passionate local foodie Kate Davis.
The website, eatdrinkwest.com.au showcases more than 60 local producers, with categories including meat, dairy, fresh produce, bakeries, wineries and distilleries.
The site is a one-stop shop to link growers, producers, artisans, chefs and foodies to the wealth of produce from right here in western Victoria.
"We want people to use the Eat Drink West platform as the epicentre of primary producers as well as an educational opportunity, " said Kate.
"We will be providing access to podcasts and other forms of media to learn about the sustainable food industry that Western Victoria is home to."
Regional Development Victoria has funded the project, which takes in 11 local government areas.
Eat Drink West was officially launched last night at Housey House in Ballarat.
