A man has died after a brick wall collapsed at a property at Kenworthy Place in Mount Pleasant.
Victoria Police and Worksafe have confirmed the home at 2 Kenworthy Place was in the process of being demolished, with a neighbour telling Radio Ballarat excavators turned up to the property on Friday to clear the block to build three units at the address.
A spokesperson from Worksafe has confirmed they are investigating the incident.
The man is yet to be formally identified.
Police will now prepare a report for the coroner.
Emergency crews have been called after a wall collapsed at a Mount Pleasant address this morning.
The first came through at 8:58am to reports of a person trapped, with police, CFA, SES and Ambulance Victoria crews attending.
CFA and SES have confirmed a man, believed to be in his 60s, was trapped under a brick wall after it collapsed on the corner of Flockhart St and Kenworthy Place.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson says the incident is now with police.
