Ballarat's Masterchef hopes have been dashed after local Tim Bone was eliminated last night.
Tim reached the top four in the cooking competition and was faced with a tough dessert from chef Peter Gilmore named 'White Coral', comprised of layers of white chocolate mousse, prune ice cream, oloroso caramel and chocolate ganache in a two hour cook that pushed contestants to their limits.
But with 35 minutes left on the clock, Tim's caramel mixture had split, and when it came time to plate, his mousse had deflated, making it slightly more dense than what Gilmore presents, spelling the end of Tim's time in the Masterchef kitchen.
Tim's looking ahead though, taking to Instagram to thank his supporters and sharing that his food dream, 'Tim's Toasties' will be coming to markets soon.
The Masterchef finale airs tonight from 7:30pm on WIN.
