It was a busy long weekend for local police who issued 160 tickets to drivers over a range of offences.
As of yesterday afternoon, 12 drivers were busted driving as either drug or alcohol affected.
In Mount Pleasant on Sunday, police detected three drivers who tested positive for having illicit drugs in their system in less than half an hour, with one driver already having been processed for the same offence a day earlier in Wendouree.
All drivers are set to lose their licence for six months and cop a $484 fine.
Meantime, police caught a 26 year old man from South Australia travelling at 147km/h in a 110 zone in Beaufort yesterday with five passengers, one being a young child.
He's been fined $604 and will be unable to drive in Victoria for six months.
More police were on the road right around Victoria over the Queen's birthday long weekend as part of Operation Regal, which targeted drivers under the influence of drugs or alcohol, not wearing seatbelts, and using mobile phones when behind the wheel.
