The latest V/Line statistics have been released, with the Ballarat line still outside of its punctuality targets.
For the month of May, 83.8 per cent of trains were delivered within five minutes of being on-time, which is slightly up from the 82.9 per cent seen in April this year.
The statistics have also seen the reliability of the Ballarat line remain fairly consistent, with 96 per cent of services delivered overall, which is just below the total V/Line average of 97.1 per cent.
Cancellation numbers were also notably higher in May at 4 per cent, or 69 trains cancelled, with a total of 1,389 trains scheduled.
In the month prior, only 42 trains, or 3.1 per cent were cancelled overall.
