More than 20 road projects are set to get underway in the region.
In the next round of the Fixing Country Roads Project, over $16 million worth of works will see a range of roadworks and upgrades made.
Over 300km of roads will be rebuilt or widened and 65km of gravel roads will be sealed, while 27 intersections and 38 bridges will be upgraded and improved.
The State Government has contributed over $10 million to the project, while local councils will provide more than $6 million to the upgrades.
Seven shires will be on the receiving end of the upgrades, including Central Goldfields, Macedon Ranges and Mount Alexander.
