Ballarat has seen three car fires in the area in less than 24 hours.
Fire crews were called to the scene on Ligar Street in Soldiers Hill, between MacArthur and Clarendon Streets this morning to reports of a Holden Commodore on fire shortly after 6:45am, and were able to control the blaze within five minutes of arriving.
Crews were also called to a fire at Mitchell Park overnight, where a stolen car with stolen numberplates was found burnt out around 2:15am on Airport Road.
The two fires today follow a ute that was found in flames in bushland near the Ballarat New Cemetery around 11:10am yesterday, that was discovered by a worker at the cemetary.
Police attended the scene of all three fires, and are currently investigating.
Anyone with information about the car fires is urged to phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
