A man who went on a crime spree on Boxing Day last year in Wendouree is set to be sentenced today.
Matthew Denouden pleaded guilty to 23 charges last month, including making a threat to kill, and intentionally damaging property.
The Ballarat Magistrates Court also heard police were called to Creswick in April last year to reports of a male carrying a firearm, before police arrived to find it was the 42 year old with a crossbow.
At the hearing last month, Magistrate Gregory Robinson said it was a pity there weren't more effective mental health supervision regimes in palce within the Ballarat community, after Denouden's lawyer stated much of his offending is due to his psychiatric conditions.
