A 24 year old man faced court yesterday after being charged following a multi-car collision on Tuesday.
The female driver of the red Mazda 6 lost control of the vehicle after performing a burnout near the Albert Street and Grant Street roundabout, which saw the car collide with a ute driven by an off-duty police officer, before hitting three parked vehicles before coming to a stop.
A Black Hill man has been charged with six offences, including assaulting a police officer, who approached the male passenger after the crash. It's alleged he had consumed 12 vodka cruisers prior to the incident, and a four year old child was seated in the back of the vehicle during the collision.
He has been denied bail, and will face court again on May 2.
