Central Goldfields Shire Council says the monthly Maryborough Tourist Market will be permanently held in Maryborough’s CBD.

The monthly market, hosted by Maryborough Lions Club on the first Sunday of each month,has seen steady growth during its 12 month trial on Alma and Nolan streets.

On average, between 1500 and 2000 visitors visit the market each month, with many visitors being from outside the Maryborough community.

Around seventy-one stallholders were at the market in December.
