Crews called after lightning hits home

Fire crews were called out to Wendouree last night after lightning hit the roof of a home.

Two fire trucks were called to Norman Street just before 6:30pm.

The CFA says the roof did not catch on fire, but there was smoke in the roof.

Fire crews had the situation under control in 15 minutes.

Since 5pm yesterday afternoon, Ballarat recorded 8.6mm of rain.
