Thousands have lined Wendouree Parade for the annual Ballarat Begonia Festival Parade over the long weekend.
More than 40 community groups, schools and businesses came together to celebrate Ballarat’s diversity and spirit for the parade, which travelled between the South and North Gardens yesterday (March 12).
The parade started at 11.00am, with dragons from the Chinese Australian Cultural Society leading the procession along Wendouree Parade.
Local primary schools joined in the festivities, along with bands, groups and tourist attractions such as Kryal Castle and Sovereign Hill.
The 2018 Begonia Festival which is now in its 66th year was held at the Ballarat Botanical Gardens, starting on Saturday (March 10), and wrapped up yesterday (March 12).
