Ballarat's 'Liberal House' egged and spat at

Ballarat's election campaign has reached a new low.

Liberal House in Sturt Street has been vandalised with eggs and food thrown at the building as well as saliva and faeces.
Former Ballarat councillor Vicki Coltman, who's husband Craig once ran for the Liberals in the seat of Ballarat West, says volunteers at the Showgrounds pre-polling station have also been bullied and harrassed.
Ballarat Trades Hall boss Brett Edgington has condemned the behaviour via social media.
"The Movement that I am part of is never shy about standing up and having a fight about issues when it comes to politics and working people, but we ask our people to act with compassion, civility and care," Mr Edgington said.

"I have no issues with pickets, strikes, chalking footpaths and rallying but this is many, many steps too far," he said.
