Discussions have been held about a Dyson Drive upgrade but no money has been set aside at this stage.
Officials from council, including CEO Evan King, met with the Department of Transport yesterday about improving the intersection at Ballarat-Carngham Road.
However Grampians Department of Transport director Michael Bailey says no funding has been set aside.
"At last count we were already doing about 250 projects, we'll spend in excess of $160 million on what we have on the list already."
"We've got a great bucket of money to spend around the region but unfortunately none for Dyson Drive at this point in time," Mr Bailey said.
