The Ballarat Miners flew out of the blocks to take a 16 to nil lead early on against the Eltham Wildcats at home on Saturday as NBL1 play resumed following lockdown 5.
The final margin, 10 points in favour of the Miners.
No such luck yesterday however with a 5 game winning streak coming to an end at the hands of the Bendigo Braves in Bendigo 84 to 71.
Big man Ray Turner scored a sizzling 34 individual points for the Braves.
Meantime, the Ballarat Rush are back on the winners list after a stirring away win yesterday against old rivals Bendigo, getting home by 8 points.
The news wasn't so good at the Ballarat Sports and Event Centre on Saturday with the Eltham Wildcats too strong winning 82 to 63.
