Hepburn to welcome neighbours as metro guests get locked out

Hepburn’s tourism sector is set to take a hit, with its busiest weekend of the year derailed by lockdown.

Tens of thousands Melbournians customarily flock to the Shire for the Queen’s Birthday long weekend.

Shire CEO Bradley Thomas says its winter attractions make it a top-end June destination.

"As much as we can't get metro visitors, hopefully our regional friends come to our beautiful shire and help out our economy," he said.
