Buninyong caught up in worldwide police sting

More arrests are expected here and around the world after a three-year police operation stretching across Australia, the USA, Europe and Asia.

Federal Police and the FBI managed to sell secretly-modified phones to criminals across the globe allowing authorities to monitor their communications in real time.

Federal police say the operation has led to the seizure of almost four-tonnes of drugs and the prevention of twenty-one murders.

Homes at Moolap, Werribee, Truganina, Tarneit and Point Cook have been raided as part of the operation.

More warrants have been executed at homes in regional Victoria including at Buninyong.

More than two-hundred people have been arrested in Australia alone.
