Another milestone has been reached for local coronavirus vaccinations.

Ballarat Health Services (BHS) says 30,000 shots have now been administered across the Grampians region.

The wait time for walk-in AstraZeneca vaccinations for over 50's has also reduced significantly, at only 15 minutes for the last few days.

Bookings via the state-wide hotline are strong with Pfizer booked out until next Monday, 14th June.

“We have moved to a larger space at the Mercure, and have welcomed additional nursing and administration staff to the clinic, so the flow of people going through is great," said Robyn Wilson, Operations Director BHS Grampians Public Health Unit.

"Even if the wait-time were to extend to an hour people would still be undercover.”

The booking line is open from 8am to 10pm daily by calling 1800 675 398 (select options 1, 1, 1).
