Easter holiday makers are being urged to have a 'plan B' to avoid crowds and stay Covid safe.
Grampian's Deputy Chief Fire Officer Tony English says big crowds are expected at popular sites in state and national parks and state forests around Victoria.
“Easter and the autumn school holidays are a very popular time to get away before winter, and we’re expecting big crowds at popular sites in national parks, state parks, regional parks and state forests around Victoria," Mr English said.
Sites expected to be at capacity include Lake Burrumbeet, Anderson's Mill and Richard's Campground at Mount Cole.
The Conservation Regulator, Forest Fire Management Victoria and Parks Victoria will be patrolling forests, parks and reserves across the state this Easter long weekend and throughout the school holidays, educating the public and targeting environmental crimes including illegal campfires, off-road offences, illegal firewood collection and wildlife crime.
