A Ballarat born actress has been nominated in the 'best actress' category by the Australian Screen Industry Network.
Krista Vendy has received the nomination for her work on the independent Australian black and white feature film 'Choir Girl'.
The film has received positive reviews and is available on Itunes after a limited release in theatres and international festivals.
It’s been described as "a slow burning drama that highlights hot topics, that is left with one of the more disturbing scenes you will see this year."
Krista's career includes roles in Neighbours and Underbelly as well as appearances on Good Morning Australia. She was also once Ballarat's Australia Day Ambassador.
Krista is also about to feature in a new mini-series pilot of Aussiewood which starts filming soon.
Krista is the daughter of Ballarat's longest serving Mayor, David Vendy.
