Thieves in the Moorabool shire have made off with one of the largest equipment thefts seen in the district.
A $130,000 Hitachi excavator (Model ZX200LC3) was stolen from an address at Balliang sometime between December 23 and January 4.
Moorabool Crime Investigation Unit Detectives say a truck would have been required to flee the scene.
