A 66 year old man from Reservoir was taken to the Ballarat Base Hospital over the weekend after losing control of his motorbike.
The accident happened at around 3pm on Saturday on the Western Freeway near Brewery Tap Road with the bike colliding with a Holden Commodore following the loss of control.
Two females in the Commodore were not injured.
The motorcyclist suffered shoulder and rib injuries and was in a stable condition.
