No crowd - but $500k still to be won at tomorrow's Ballarat Cup

Partly cloudy and 29c tomorrow, perfect weather conditions for the Sportsbet Ballarat Cup.

Ballarat trainers Ciaron Maher and David Eustace have the second favourite with Junipal rated a $6 chance ridden by Kerrin McEvoy. The favourite is the Dan O'Sullivan trained Affair to Remember at $5.50

No crowds will be allowed at Dowling Forest tomorrow because of Covid-19 restrictions with the big race at 4.25pm set to deliver the winner $500,000.
Ballarat Turf Club CEO Belinda Glass says following Cup Day the course will close for its annual maintenance program, with officials hoping that when racing resumes in February the public will be allowed back on course.
The Ballarat Cup was first raced in 1864, making it only 3 years younger than the Melbourne Cup.
