Call for decentralisation fund to boost Regional Vic

The Nationals are calling on the state government to do more when it comes to decentralisation in next weeks state budget.

They say a $250 million fund should be created for businesses to allow staff to work from home more often and live where they want to.

"We can’t afford to wait years for bold ideas to revitalise our communities," said Nationals Leader and Shadow Minister for Regional Victoria Peter Walsh.

"Enforced working from home has showed us it’s possible to have a job in the city, while living in the country."

"Next week, we need action and investment in a realistic way forward that drives confidence and growth for Regional Victoria," Mr Walsh said.
The Nationals have also called for the Ballarat Western Link Road to be funded.
