No virus traces found in Ballarat waste water - so far

Central Highlands Water (CHW) says testing for traces of coronavirus in Ballarat's waste water continues as part of a national strategy.

CHW Managing Director Paul O'Donohue says so far he's unaware of any positive tests.
"Ballarat and our sewer networks have been part of a nationwide program."
"It's being done in collaboration with water utilities and relevant health departments, we've been supplying samples but at this point we haven't seen or heard of any feedback that's said there's been any positive cases in our networks," Mr O'Donohue said.
In data released this week by CHW Ballarat's water storages sit at healthy levels leading into the warmer months.
Total surface water storages are 93.1% full, slightly under the 94.6% recorded last year. Lal Lal, our biggest reservoir is brimming at 100.6% capacity.
