Ballarat Catholic Secondary Schools, Loreto and St Patrick's College have written to parents advising that a parent of students at the schools had tested positive to COVID-19.

Whilst the parent had not visited either school recently, the letter advised parents that both colleges were informed the family is undergoing testing and will not be attending school for 2 weeks.  Upon advice from the department of health and human services, both schools will continue protocols put in place for cleaning and hygiene practices pending results of the student’s tests.  As a further precaution, both schools have requested all students wear face masks until further notice.

St Patrick's College will require all staff, students commence wearing masks from Monday, with teachers permitted to remove mask whilst teaching.  All visitors to the school will be required to wear masks and undertake temperature tests.
