Ballarat’s best young athletes have returned from the Victorian State Athletic Championships with a swag of medals.
All up, the under-14’s to 18’s won 31 medals from Friday to Sunday at Melbourne’s Lakeside Stadium.
The stand-out being the Eureka clubs throwing siblings Alyssa and Leigh Benbow taking home a perfect 7 gold medals.

Other highlights included Zac Grainger taking gold in the under-18’s 2000-metre Steeplechase, whilst new sprint sensation Grace Crowe took home gold in both the 100-metre and 200-meter under-16 events.
