Locals are being encouraged to dig deep as the cooler weather sets in and support the Ballarat Winter Appeal which has been launched today.
Cost of living pressures have been a factor in the recent increase in presentations at Ballarat relief and support agencies.
This year the Ballarat Foundations appeal is aiming to distribute more than $50,000 in food, blankets and financial support to locals facing hardship.
“This winter is going to be incredibly challenging for many Ballarat families, ” said Ballarat Foundation CEO Andrew Eales.
“Cost of living pressures means many are facing decisions about basics such as using heating or buying
“Every dollar raised through the appeal directly supports those in need in the Ballarat community,” he said.
You can donate here The Ballarat Foundation – Home – or take food, blankets or clothing to The Salvation Army Community Church on the corner of Main Road and Eureka Street.
