Redevelopment of a prime piece of land owned by Haymes Paint is not on the cards any time soon.
The company moved off the Scott Parade site in Ballarat East back in 2022, with the large corner block and old showroom now sitting vacant.
Matt Haymes says the City of Ballarat are keen for the company to do something on the site, but they’ve had other priorities.

“We’ve spent a lot of money getting a franchise together [and] building a new plant. We’ve certainly invested heavily in the future of our manufacturing and our distribution in Australia, that was priority number one,” he said.
“If we have the resources to do something either ourselves or with someone in the future, we will.”
