Ballarat is set for an impressive dose of arts and culture tonight as the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra hits town.
They’re partnering with the Ballarat Choral Society to perform Handel’s Messiah at the Civic Hall.
Principal Conductor Benjamin Northey, who grew up in Ballarat, says it’s a rare pairing.
“It doesn’t happen very often but it’s exactly the kind of thing that I think orchestras should be doing.”
“It’s this connection with community that I think is one of the great things about working with an orchestra,” Mr. Northey said.
The performance starts at 7pm with tickets via The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra returns to Ballarat! (hermaj.com)
