A local Liberal MP has likened Ballarat’s Gov Hub building to one constructed of Lego, only not as strong.
Joe McCracken, Member for Western Victoria and Shadow Parliamentary Secretary for Regional Economic Development says more pieces of cladding broke off over the weekend, the second time this has happened in the last six months.
“Kids building with Lego can construct a sturdier building than this government appears to have done,” Mr. McCracken said.
“I am concerned there may be a safety issue for the hundreds of employees who work there, as well as members of the public who continually pass by that building.”
Mr. McCracken says the $111 million building is fast becoming a local hazard just 2 years after being built.
