Police are investigating following a fatal car crash in Denver, northeast of Daylesford, earlier this morning.
It’s understood the car was travelling along Daylesford-Malmsbury Road at around 12:05am, before it lost control, hit a tree and caught fire.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, who is yet to be identified, died at the scene.

Circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined, with anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
The fatality marks the 10th life lost on Victorian roads this year.
