Ballarat’s Sam Rizzo Japan bound for World Para Championships

Champion Ballarat wheelchair racer Samuel Rizzo will be dusting off his passport again later in the year.

He’s been selected in the Australian team for the World Para Championships in Kobe, Japan in May. He’ll compete in the T54 1500m event.

Sam, 22, made his international debut at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and last year was described as a rising star of wheelchair racing by Athletics Australia.
