Former school friends and teachers of Hannah McGuire will remember her at a Ballarat High School memorial service, a week after her body was found in Scarsdale.
The memorial for Ms. McGuire, who graduated from the school in 2018, will be held in Peacock Hall tonight.
It will follow a march in solidarity for the three recently murdered Ballarat women, Rebecca Young, Samantha Murphy and Ms. McGuire, calling for an end to violence against women.
The march will start at the Ballarat Train Station at 5:30pm tonight, weaving its way to Alfred Deakin Place in Camp Street.
Cr. Daniel Moloney says he hopes as many people as possible will turn up, especially men.
“We’ve all got a role to play in this, and it’s not just up to a council or a State Government or a Federal Government to do something, but also as individuals we need to look in the mirror ourselves and actually see if there’s anything more we can do in our clubs, in our family units [and] in our workplaces,” he said.
