Central Highlands Water (CHW) have urged those finding it tough to pay their bill to reach out for help.
The utility recently committed $2.5m across five years to help those struggling with the cost-of-living crisis, including water bills.
Philippa O’Sullivan, the General Manager of Customer and Business Services at CHW, says this time of year can place extra stress on household budgets.
“We identified that people out there are suffering, and it was really important for us to provide a suite of different opportunities and products for customers to reach into us.”
“That way we can individualise those support packages as well,” Mrs. O’Sullivan said.
Financial assistance programs from CHW include flexible payment plans, payment extensions, guidance on how to access government assistance and help setting up Centrepay amongst others.
