Come and join us for a great day out in Skipton as we celebrate our town’s rich history in sheep and wool farming. The Skipton Spring Festival is a part of our flood recovery initiative and will be held on the one-year anniversary of the flood.

Come along for a fantastic family day out and support our small town!

We are excited to unveil our newest artwork – our Blade Shearer; monument to local and internationally recognized blade shearer Ben Wilkie.

Join us for our live blade shearing (using Ben Wilkie’s original shears!) and wool classing demonstration from 12pm onwards.

We will have a fantastic range of country market stalls showcasing local and artisan products, as well as informative stalls with information about the sheep and wool trade and how it has sustained our town over generations.

Enjoy LIVE MUSIC from 12pm – 4pm with Possums on the Porch playing in the rotunda in the main street, and Rock ‘n Roll Stroll playing in the Town Hall. R

EFRESHMENTS available from several food vendors situated throughout our township.

Don’t forget to grab a sausage from the Skipton Progress Association sausage sizzle or pop into the supper room at the Town Hall for tea, coffee, cold drinks and homemade slices.

KIDS ACTIVITIES available with an exhibition of local children’s artwork in the Town Hall and colouring and crafts available in the supper room.

Head on over the bridge to Stewart Park for more fun and games by the Historical Society.

Parking is available throughout the town.

Please make use of Jubilee Park (and visit the children’s playground) and the football oval if additional parking is needed.
