You know your farm best — but sometimes it helps to have direct access to the people who support your safety.

If you’ve ever wanted to chat with organisations like the CFA, SES, or Victoria Police about how to keep your farm safe, here’s your chance!

City of Ballarat, with support from Local Government Victoria, is hosting two Farmer Resilience and Community Connection Days next Monday 13 and Tuesday 14 October.

Held at Ballarat Showgrounds and Event Centre in Mount Rowan, the days kick off with breakfast and coffee at 7.30am, with a Farm Safety Information Session running from 8am.

This will include presentations from CFA, Victoria Police, Victorian Farmer Federation (VFF), NBN, and the City of Ballarat Animal Management, and Emergency Management, teams.

Monday will also have a representative from the EPA, and Tuesday will also have representatives from SES and DEECA on site.

There will be a half hour Q&A session before this portion of the day wraps up around 9.15am.

From 9.30am, 12 lucky dog and handler pairs will have the opportunity to train with Gary White, internationally renowned for his working dog expertise.

There is also plenty of space for spectators at this training (without your dogs). Catering is provided, and all sessions are free.

You can register to attend any of these sessions at events.humanitix.com/frcc
