1500+ sign up for PTSD Ballarat awareness walk

2015 April CFA Nathan Shanahan Mildura to Adelaide walk PTSD

Ballarat firefighter and former soldier Nathan Shanahan (pictured) was a passionate advocate for people suffering Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Then in December, it claimed his own life.

This Saturday (22 April 2017) workmates from Ballarat and Mildura, as well as 1500+ other people from around the State are picking up 20kg packs and walking a 20km route around Victoria Park.

'Walk Off the War Within' starts at 9am at the nearby St Patricks College Oval - and there is still time to register on the day.

We caught up with one of Nathan's former workmates Adam Young, who's been training hard.
